May I proudly present: Odd Couples. One Word Two Meanings!

You would be in trouble if you went for a swim in an elephant’s nose and you wouldn’t want to find a bunch of bananas in your bathing shorts either. What am I talking about? You may well ask. The English language uses the same word – trunks – for both.

There are many more words like this in English too – fly, ring, bat, or ball, for example. These words are called homonyms and they make for some very odd couples indeed. The charming illustrations in this quirky book offer an easy way to get to know some of these funny word pairs.
